Here are three of my favorite pages from Chapter 1 of the forthcoming Build, Baby, Build: The Science and Ethics of Housing Regulation. While the storyboards have been done for a year, the illustration is taking longer than expected. I expect the book to release in roughly 12 months. Hey Bryan, really want this book to succeed which is why I’m going to be so critical of the illustrations. These illustrations are not good at all. There’s a lot of basic mistakes that a professional artist shouldn’t be making. One example: the muscle man’s torso : leg ratio changes between the two panels.

Keeping character proportions consistent is a basic competency you should expect from an artist, and having it be off in a draft this far along is a red flag to me.

Hm. As a happy owner of "Open borders" and a Weinersmith's patreon - I liked Zach's style more. More of an issue: the ratio info:panel seems lower :(

Still: looking forward to get my copy. :D
